About Me:

Now, let’s delve into a bit more about who I am and my background, particularly in the realms of beauty and personal grooming.

Professional Background:

I bring a well-rounded set of skills and qualifications to this blog. As a certified hairdresser, I have expertise in hairstyling and care. Additionally, I have completed training as a BTEC makeup artist, equipping me with a deep understanding of cosmetics and makeup application. To complement my skill set, I am also a qualified Nail Technician, allowing me to delve into the intricate world of nail care and artistry.

Hair:

My hair is a unique canvas for exploration. It gracefully extends approximately four inches below my shoulders. In its natural state, my hair is a dark ash blonde, falling around a level 5 on most color charts with subtle undertones of ash and gold. Presently, my hair boasts a delightful blend of very light golden brown with dark caramel blonde balayage highlights. Its texture leans towards the medium-thick side, and I’m fortunate to have it in good condition. My hair typically falls into the category of straight, with a slight wave manifesting itself when it’s wet. You should also know that about 10% of my hair showcases a discreet touch of gray, though I prefer to keep that little secret to myself! Despite the minor psoriasis issue on my scalp, it doesn’t hinder my ability to use most hair products. I’m no stranger to styling tools, frequently employing curling irons, straighteners, and hair dryers to create different looks. You’ll often find me with extensions; I adore experimenting with various types, including clip-ins, Halos, and semi-permanent tape hair extensions.

Speaking of hair extensions, I typically wear a #14 shade, which falls in the spectrum of light golden brown, also affectionately referred to as dark caramel blonde. This particular shade seamlessly blends with my natural hair.

Skin:

My facial skin exhibits a combination of characteristics, characterized by dryness under my eyes, around the nose, and a slightly oily T-zone. Overall, my skin is in good shape, with the exception of some eczema beneath my eyes, which, fortunately, remains unaffected by the use of other skincare products. My skin is generally tolerant of various products, with minimal breakouts, typically only with extremely oily products. My daily routine involves using facial wash, makeup-removing wipes, and toning and moisturizing my face twice a day.

When it comes to my body, my skin maintains a healthy appearance. Daily moisturization is a standard practice for me, accompanied by bi-weekly applications of fake tan and exfoliation. My body skin tends to be on the normal side, and I can comfortably use a wide range of bubble baths, soaps, and shower gels without any adverse reactions.

My hands are the one area that always seems to be dry, especially during the winter, when they tend to become chapped and sore. I have a borderline obsession with applying hand cream and do so religiously throughout the day. In contrast, my nails are notably strong, whether they’re sporting overlay gels or not, and they grow long without breaking.

Coloring:

Naturally, my coloring tends to be light to medium-toned. I possess neutral undertones in my facial complexion. However, it’s essential to note that due to my frequent application of fake tan, my “natural” skin tone is rarely visible. Instead, I tend to maintain a medium to dark coloring with warm undertones. This unique coloring is a testament to the art of self-expression through beauty and grooming.
